Debt or Life?

Question: What if you could buy a small house for cash outright and live there debt-free and all your bills paid?

Most people would decline to even consider it because they would rather live the fabulous life of comfort and material things all the while being a slave to their job and debtors that they hate (☹️). Ironically we find comfort in living off debt and beyond our means at the cost of spending every day working in a job we don't enjoy. Our actions indicate that we prefer that fate over planning, saving and waiting until we can afford to pay cash for some of the "finer things of life". Why purchase a used car outright when the car dealership will allow us to purchase a brand new car for $0 down? Delayed gratification is certainly not the trend these days, even among those who are unable to meet the basic needs of their families.

If we use creativity and resourcefulness we could renovate a small house (owned outright) into something adequate and even desirable. With hard work, sweat and patience this house could be transformed into a home. It could be built up and expanded upon with time. So I challenge you to the unthinkable! The Undoable! Consider taking measures to live modestly and within your means so that you can grow closer to a debt-free life. Free from debt and free to explore meaningful activities in our daily lives, without the constraints of our finances. Build and save for your future, keeping in mind your passion and your legacy.
